Lou Crow (they/them) was born in Nashville and currently lives in Columbus, Ohio. They recently graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in 2D animation, focusing on visual storytelling and experimental methods. Lou has a passion for the arts and particularly enjoyed collaborative projects outside their field. During their final year, they interned as a Student Animation Intern with Ohio State University's Knowledge Exchange, where they told experts' stories and expanded not just their craft but general knowledge.

After graduation, they served with City Year Columbus from 2023-2024, giving back to the community while receiving mentorship in business, the arts, and non-profit management. During their service, they met Representative Dontavius Jarrells and worked as a Marketing Intern from April 2024 to January 2025. At the same time, they facilitated elementary-to-high school age programs for the non-profit We Amplify Voices until August 2025. From February 2025 to August 2026, they worked at Columbus Metropolitan Library as a Teen Services Specialist, leading STEAM workshops to support expression and professional development.

Their career and education have been shaped by service to their community, co-design, and art and technology. Their research focuses on interactive media's role in learning digital literacy through play, with young adults/teens as their main user demographic. They are currently a Global Arts + Humanities Fellow and are exploring this research interest in collaboration with Kaleidoscope Youth Center through an exciting co-design and play opportunity!
