Background & Education
I received my bachelor's degree from Chung-Ang University's School of Art and Technology, where I studied 3D graphics for animation and games and Computer Science. During this time, I focused heavily on asset production techniques such as modeling and texturing, while also discovering a deep passion for storytelling and visual expression. For my graduation project, I produced and showcased a series of short-form films, which allowed me to go beyond technical asset creation and actively participate in screenwriting and directing to bring my narratives to life.
Current Research & Interests
I am currently pursuing an Design MFA in Digital Animation and Interactive Media (DAIM) at The Ohio State University, while also working as a Graduate Research Associate (GRA) at ACCAD. My research explores how storytelling and interaction can help communicate fast fashion issue. Alongside my thesis study, as a graphic designer, I am expanding my focus beyond asset production to explore lighting and shading, aiming to better understand how visual elements shape narrative. As someone who loves crafting and expressing stories, I hope to perceive the world with a wider resolution using visual language to convey depth, stories, and emotions that reach far beyond dialogue and scripts.
